FRAM Filter Illustrations

Given a budget of only 18 hours for these illustrations, my co-worker and I had to pull together and figure out how these could be done efficiently, and still look professional. These 3 illustrations were to highlight the locations of various filter components in a vehicle – from the everyday car to a Cat C175 Mining Truck. We ended up purchasing the models for each vehicle, and brought in the engines from .dae files that we had gathered from engineers. We then rendered each component on separate layers, and then did a lot of post work in Photoshop, masking back various areas to show transparency under the 'hood'. They were then laid out in InDesign. These eventually went to print for a product brochure
