National Geographic Virtual Labs

A series of illustrations created for our Biology series, focusing on various explorers and their studies. These illustrations were part of an interactive site, where students could click on various hotspots within each scene to learn more about each area, and perform virtual experiments. All scenes were created in Cinema 4D and rendered with Corona Renderer.

Metabolism Study, focusing on hummingbirds and their metabolic rates

Troop of Hamadryas baboons. We had to groom new hair for these, from an existing model, and rig all of the various poses.

Drone footage of El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico. I used the Tangram Heightmapper to gather the topographical data for this particular region. UV Maps for the roads/rivers, and Chaos Scatter for the various trees. I think the final tree count for this scene was 5 million!
